Michael Kharfen directs the musical version of Richard Nash’s The
Rainmaker which gave Broadway the strongest musical score of 1963. It
was by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt whose off-Broadway hit The
Fantasticks had already started its forty-year run.

Craig Pettinati directs Paris Barclay's musical exploration of the Vietnam
War experience based on the letters of the Americans who fought there using
the rock-n-roll sounds they listened to.

Arthur Schnitzler's play presenting a succession of sexual liaisons was so
controversial in the 1890s it went unproduced until 1912. David Hare adapted
it for more modern times and it was a success both in London and on Broadway
in 1999 with Iain Glen and Nicole Kidman.
